I was born in Oregon City, Oregon and at an early age moved to Alaska. It was there I learned to love the great outdoors, and experienced the sights, sounds and smells of the sea.
I watched my mother paint her lovely sceneries with rugged mountains, rushing rivers and moss laden trees.
It wasn't until I moved to Hawaii as a teenager that I tapped into my mother's artistic legacy and began my own journey.
Unlike my mother who loved oils, I was drawn to watercolor! Painting the old cane shacks, banana plants, oceans flowing onto their surreal beaches and palm trees casting their shadows on black sands.
I loved the flow of the tropical plants and landscapes.
At a young age I began a family and with two small children, there was no longer time for painting and the family grew!
My husband and I along with our 5 children moved to Oregon where I had spent much of my youth. It was here that the smell of field burning, and the sweet spring mornings stirred my Artistic senses.
I began painting once again.
I hope you enjoy my staggered art journey....artists have their own clock!
May God Bless You through YOUR life's journey!
